Clash of Clans. Subway Surfers. TubeMate 3. Hangs on update. Installation process doesn't enable you to bypass update. Windows Vista Premium has made my Quicken program useless.
Even when I start the program with "run as administrator", I get the start up menu and have to go through an install. Then it refuses to take updates even when I save the web connect file to the desktop and import. With Windows XP, neither of these problems occurred. Hopefully, this will get resolved by , and I can then switch to my new computer. I am not impressed with the quality of help given by Intuit either over the phone or with the online chat.
Since these problems are so pervasive, you would think they would have been able to come up with a fix by now, or at least inform the user that this is a problem that many users are having. Also the program asks repeated on start-up if its the default program for "Web Connect" I have the same symptom mentioned previously: unable to print at all to an HP printer with Quicken and Vista Ultimate bit.
The paper feeds into the printer and then hangs indefinitely with nothing printed. Yes, Quicken print under Bit Vista initializes the printer, but just sits there.
No amount of printer setting twiddling gets it going. I have the problem, but don't yet know the solution. Yes, Quicken support bites the big one. Everything was fine with Quicken on Vista until it wanted to download an update always the kiss of death, it seems. Now I can't open it, re download it, or uninstall it. It's a mess. I run the Microsoft Install cleanup utility, and it will at least allow me to re-install quicken to RS1.
However, as soon as I attempt to update to any higher release, the update utility program locks up and I am hosed Vist Ultimate and Quicken were not made for each other. Here the issue I have internet connection and when I click update connection for bank not for R4 I get no internet connection detected box.
When I click ignore the box pops back up I click ignore again and it connects to my bank and download. I wrote this on the quicken foums and all they could do was complain that I didn't give them an error because I didn't get one duh! So next time I press cancel and got error no respones for anyone from quicken. I have no issues in XP so I can only assume it something different that Microsoft did with vista to cause this error. What ticks me off is Intuit seems not to care if their product work or is just blowing it off as user error!
I been using quicken since quicken I use it for online banking with Bank of America. Called my bank they told me they weren't supporting Vista yet. Running under Vista Ultimate with a Radeon graphics board - Q runs, but display behavior is odd refreshing odd things at odd times and, times per week, it causes Windows Manager to crash.
Apps keep working after this, but it is annoying, at best. Running Vista Home Premium - Couple minor issues to report. The only way to fix it is to reinstall it. Trying to uninstall it doesn't work either however. I have to use the Windows Cleanup Utility and then reinstall. Featured Windows Videos Here you'll find quick video guides for almost everthing.
